The Davidsons Building
The best part of living in the city that raised me is seeing it mature into something beautiful.
Over the last 5 or so years there has been a lot construction started around Bridgeport, with a majority of the projects focused on renovating the historic structures around the city. I’m all for it, there are plenty of ways to bring in the” new” while properly remembering the past, especially when it comes to architecture.
This collection of photos shines a little light on the work that surrounds the Davidson building in Downtown. This section of downtown has been a renovation project for many years and I’m glad to see the progress they’ve made in the last 8+ months. I have no idea what’s in store for this space and I’m good with that, like being surprised and I hope it’s something that enhance the community.
The Davidson Building is roughly 115+ years old and has survived multiple structurally damaging situations, including a massive fire that happened a handful of years ago.
If you follow my work you’ll know that I share a lot of images of this building, at one point it was covered with the most awesome graffiti.
I’m rambling on, enjoy the photos!
