Early Yesterday Morning...
I felt inspired yesterday morning to get out and capture a few images in downtown Bridgeport. At one point, I was taking photos of downtown Bridgeport at least 3 times a week, but I eventually exhausted all of what I felt could be photographed in this area of town. My former Instagram page was filled with a variety of images that highlighted different downtown locations, some of those places have been demolished and/or converted into beautiful condos and retail spaces.
Although I would frequently shoot downtown there were a few locations that I always had difficulties photographing. Usually due to parked cars or people loitering around, typical city situations, but yesterday I was able to cross off one of the “Grail” locations from of my list, the photo above. I’ve been wanting to take a photo of this salon for over a year. I love the retro style lettering over the shop’s entrance, the recessed entry way, the row of chairs that sit in the window as well as the neon sign. (I LOVE neon signs)
The second photo is a scene I capture every time I happen to be downtown with my camera, I love the contrast between the ticket office and the brick wall.
I hope you enjoy your local as much as I enjoy mine.
Peace.
