Marina Village Demo
The affordable waterfront community that was probably home a majority of Bridgeport’s families during its heyday, Marina Village.
I’m not going to tout myself as a historian of this housing community, but I will say that I know plenty of people who once called this place home. There are memories in the far corners of my mind that I have from childhood running through the various courtyards of Marina Village, but there aren’t many, I spent more time in the (once) neighboring Pequonnock Apartments.
As you can see these units and this area in general is now undergoing a bit of a transformation. I’m not sure what the plans are for this land because the other half of this land features a “recently” renovated cluster of units, home to many families.
Again, I’m not going to speculate or begin to throughout theories, what I will do is document the transition.
