Whiskey With Callow

“That's my mans and them, hmm, I see. So, what I'm doing, Right, right, my mans and them is doing, because, right. That's my mans and them, ya know?” - DMX

The friendship has been a reflection of positive peer pressure, a true example of quote above. After nearly 10 years, we still find time to connect on what I think is the core of our relationship is, being outside creating and talking shit, it’s just that the shit talking of today is more focused around parenting and business growth.

From a creative perspective, it’s interesting to see the literal differences in how we see the world. You can get an idea of how a photographer sees the world by the way they present their photographs, the tones in the colors, depths of their shadows and the subject at the heart of their creation. This collection of photos reflects my perspective on the nearly 5 mile walk through the south west section of Bridgeport, but you can see Callow’s work here.

From the perspective of a friend, it’s great to see how we’ve both matured as men and creatives. Since day one, the conversations have always been centered creating the life we want for ourselves and our families, pushing ourselves of out of our comfort zones, giving something back to our community. It’s nice to see that we’re still on the same mission, with a lot of progress to reflect on.
