Lessons: Building Endurance

Lessons: Building Endurance
University of Bridgeport - 1

This collection of photos represents one of the most impactful days of photography for me, solely for the fact that I walked the streets with my son to produce this collection of photos.

He’s finally reached the age where I can introduce to the concepts of photography, he’ll understands what I'm sharing with him and ask me questions about what he’s seeing. We’ve created photos together in the past, but those were more of me allowing him to explore the camera and see the magic of creation — capturing moments.

Today was beautiful because our intention was to create together, we set out to have a father-son photo walk. Staring with the quintessential stop by the coffee shop to get ready for the walk, we discussed the route for the day over a latte and chocolate milk.

His curiosity led the way as we covered the park side of the campus for the university of Bridgeport. Covering all of the scenes in the area, we hit the seaside shoreline, the baseball field, UB Women’s soccer practice (Not Photographed), and the mixture of learning centers and dorms that overlook Seaside Park.

This session was all about endurance, building the muscle for street photography. Learning how to see what's in front of you, versus looking through a moment as you make your way to a destination.

This is the first of many creative adventures.
