A full circle moment

A full circle moment

Full circle moments are some of the most beautiful times in life.

A few months back I had the opportunity to work on a really cool project for the Bridgeport DSSD, also known as Colorful Bridgeport. The assignment was straightforward, document all of the public artwork within the downtown Bridgeport, CT area. The purpose behind the project is to index all of the artwork so that people could visit a central site to learn about the pieces, the artists and the overall culture of downtown Bridgeport, CT.

This project is very special to me because I started my photography journey by documenting the public artwork around the city of Bridgeport. At the time I was fascinated by all of the murals that were displayed around the city, I felt it was important to document those murals because most of them weren’t commissioned pieces and wouldn’t be on display for long. So it’s an amazing full circle moment to be in a position to photograph commissioned murals and other forms of public artwork for the purpose of highlighting the artists and their contributions to our city’s culture.
