Perception is NOT Reality

Perception is NOT Reality

Occasionally reality is based on what we're able to see and experience, but that's not actually reality, it's perspective.

Based on my perspective, from running errands (Grocery Shopping & Take-Out) and light walking in my neighborhood I thought my local area was following along with the "stay at home” recommendation/order, I was wrong.

Although these photos show empty parking lots and cleared roads, that’s not actually the case, people are still very active in the most non-essential ways. I’m not the authority on what people should be doing, most would say that taking long walks or drives with my family is completely ridiculous and irresponsible.

The one thing my drive up Route 58 showed me was that even in the midst of a historical pandemic people will exercise their free will to do as the see fit, regardless of the possible repercussions. During that drive I felt compelled (multiple times) to pull over and photograph the swimmers, the hikers, the groups of people BBQing, but then I’d be putting my family at risk - so I observed from a far and made mental notes.

This are interesting times and this will make for a great study on human behavior.

Peace!
