Home Away From Home
Slowly but surely Vermont is becoming my home away from home.
The quiet town of Newfane and the very cozy Four Columns Inn are the primary contributing factors to my newly developed feelings towards rural seclusion. I'll be honest, I had minor anxiety issues about being somewhere that offered me the poorest phone reception I’ve ever experienced, but I was much younger with an idea that I always needed to be "connected". My wife that opened my eyes to peaceful nothingness of Vermont, and the Four Columns was the ideal blend of familiarity and newness to really change my perspective.
These weekend getaways will become more frequent as the months and years go on. Especially with a daily grind that really only excels with extreme connectivity, having moments where my phone becomes nothing more than an over priced paper weight is and will always be greatly appreciated.
